I think you would typically use an adapter in line and attach it to another port and read the data from the second port. I have built these in the past for serial IO but in the case of a Bluetooth adapter I don't know if this method would work. It is likely converted to serial data after it gets to the PC.
If you have another port available you could in theory write a program that intercepts the data from the blue tooth port and relay it to the other port then have your other program look at the other port rather than the bluetooth port.
