Just wondering, if there's any DreamCast emulator out there for PSP that anyone can point me to. I'm already familiar with Homebrew, and the custom updates to get emulators working. On my PSP, I currently have the following working: PS1, Nintendo 64 (somewhat), CPS1/CPS2, Gameboy/Gameboy Color, SNES There's only one game I like, which hopefully I could get running on the PSP: War of the Monsters, which unfortunately was either released for arcade and Sega Dreamcast.

I've checked Google, and all the 'not possible' answers I'm seeing is from circa~ 2008. Wondering if that has changed since then. I have the PSP-2001 model. Despite the knock on Dreamcast Dean, I have to say that even with an RCA to HDMI converter block between the Dreamcast and a TV it still looks decent enough, the PS2 does not age gracefully though that's for sure (It gets a lot of lines in it).

Long story short, there are a lot of good games on the Dreamcast that would port well over largely because the downscale effect on the screen would make it appear more 'Hi-Def' than traditional TV screens the visuals were designed for. Regarding the availability, sadly I have no answer for ya man, but I'll be watching this thread. I even bought that new RPG for it (Pier Solar and the Great Architects - there was a thread about it some months ago.) I'm saying that emulating it on a tiny screen as opposed to just getting a console and playing it on a real TV doesn't seem worth it to me. I rarely use my PSP or 3DS for that very reason. Plus, I'm morally against emulators.

I have a couple on my OUYA but only actually use them to play modded roms like Sonic Megmix or Mario Adventures. Otherwise, I would always rather have the real game/consoles. Although, I know that isn't practical for a lot of people due to money/space constraints that come with being a responsible adult (something I have avoided like the plague for my ~30 years of existence) so I don't blame people too much. Don't forget location Dean, if they own the original disk / playable media where I am they're legally allowed to have a copy on a device of their choosing, even if it's one not provided by the supplier.

Games

Used to be called fair use but now it's some other crazy thing but it only slightly redefined 'educational use' a bit to prevent abuse by educational institutions (education was redefined as individual education.) In short, feel free to be morally against them, they have a legitimate use as long as you own original media or the license has lapsed (E.G. Abandonware) where I'm from. If ya like it, buy it (from the original owner if possible, 2nd hand is a huckster job that only the reseller profits from in quite a high margin for newer games), but that doesn't mean you have to buy it ten times because you want to play it on something other than the original media.
